Ahhhh.....Spring (well, almost)

Good Afternoon.....It's Tuesday, the sun is shining, and I am starting to feel better(thank God)! Although it is still pretty chilly here (approx 45 degrees)I am starting to see signs of spring. The trees are forming buds, the tulips and Daffodils are sprouting, and the birds are chirping. It has been a REALLY long winter and I am going to embrace every single sign of spring with open arms. I can't wait to open the windows and pack away the winter coats. Oh, I can't wait!!!

Today's card was made for Mary Jo's lunchtime sketch challenge. Easter is approaching and I really want to use my New High Hopes bunnies, so I flipped the sketch to fit the bunny (rather large image). I am having a great time coloring these new High Hopes stamps.

I used some stickles on the ribbon for a little extra something, I also photographed it separately with hopes you could see it. For some reason sparkle doesn't show up so well in pictures or scans. I have found if you turn the card just right you can catch the right lighting and snap away. Can you see it??????

Don't forget that today is the last day of SU INKS& MORE sneak peeks. Head on over to their blog and check out the samples. They are FANTASTIC! All stamps will be available for purchase tomorrow. Have a great Day and Happy Crafting!!!!

SU INK Sneak Peek

Wow, I can't believe April is approaching. Has the spring weather appeared where you are. Our snow has finally disappeared, and we are at a constant temp of mid 40's this week, and it just happens to be raining today, which is so appropriate for my card. SU INK & MORE is releasing 3 brand new sets on April 1st, and boy are they cute and great for your spring projects.

Today I am sneak peeking "Rain, Rain Go Away". Such a cute set. There is a matching boy and girl, some ducks, rain clouds, and a great umbrella to go with your kids.

I have to admit that this is a 15 minute card. I had a horrible week last week. I walked into my job of 6 years to find out that my job had been eliminated, and I was offered a different job for $2.00 less an hour for the same amount of work, my husbands car was on it's last leg, so he had me out car shopping (which I hate), and then on Saturday, I came down with a really bad cold and still feel miserable. So, needless to say this was a quickie card. I am hoping to get to play with the sets a little more this week.

The good news, SU INK'S very talented design team is also sneak peeking, and they have some amazing cards to share with you as well. If you get a chance take a peek on The SU INK blog for more great cards.

Bloggers challenge 92-texture/template

WOW, can you believe that it's Friday all ready. Today's challenge was to make something with texture or template. I chose to go with a template from Claire Brennan's blog. It's a mini Easter basket. Very simple to make. As you can see by the second picture, it is a VERY small basket. So cute though.

If you get a chance, check out the other projects made by the other bloggers challenge ladies. Have a wonderful weekend and happy creating!

Supplies:
Paper: My minds eye
Stamps: Amuse

Three Clover Thursday Challenge

It's Thursday (almost Friday), and that means Three Clover Thursday challenge. Today's challenge was to make a card that was purple, b-day and had to have glitter. I really wanted to use my new High Hopes Bunny, so I made him into a B-day Bunny. I used Purple background paper and I use stickles on the tulips, and tail. I think that covers the challenge.

This challenge was for Kerry's B-day challenge, which is actually 4/1. So if you get a chance head over to Kerry's blog and wish her a Happy Birthday, and why not play along. Have a great day and I hope to be back tomorrow with Bloggers challenge. Have a TERRIFIC Thursday.

Creative Corner sketch challenge

Did you have a good weekend? Mine was filled with activities such as work, family get together, yard clean up, kids hair cuts, a little shopping, watching Twilight, and today.....CAR SHOPPING!!!!! I can't stand car shopping. I may consider a appointment with the dentist over purchasing a new car.

So, when I sat to relax after a day of looking at car after car, and bargaining with salesmen, I took a good look around my craft room and decided that I have enough stuff for me and my friends. So, I am going to cut down (not out) my spending of stamps and such and try to use more of what I have. Seriously how much DP does one person need?

Anyways, one of my favorite stampers is Kim Teasdale, and one of my favorite stamp companies is Clear Dollar Stamps. Kim is this weeks sketch challenge hostess, and Clear dollar is donated a $25.00 credit to a random winner. I couldn't resist. Great sketch and great prize!

My card was made using stamps from C.C. Designs, which my BF Kerry so generously lent me. Kerry had made such a cute card with this set, and I need to play. I paper pieced the outfit and played around with the ribbon (what do you think). I like how this card turned out and I definitely will be making more cards with the set. Thanks Kerry!

WOW, it's already Friday. You know what Friday means, Blogger's Challenge time! This weeks challenge is to think SPRING! Spring colors.

I decided to go with my spring duck and add some spring colors. I think I am really on a pink and green kick right now, as my last few cards have been in that facinity. I used my new DP from Little Yellow Bicycle, and went with it. I think it came out okay.

SO if you get a chance, click on the Blogger's challenge button and check out the rest of the blogger girls cards. They are amazing.

Supplies
Stamps:Penny Black
DP: Little Yellow Bicycle
INK: copics, Black memento
MISC:marvy punches, ribbon, and white pen

Don't forget that Twilight is being released Tomorrow at 12:01. So, I will be having a weekend of Twilght and homework. I can't wait for the DVD to be released. Anyone going to any Twilight midnight parties?

Three clovers Thursday #5

It's Thursday and that means Three clovers Design Thursday challenge. Today's challenge was to use up the scraps. I don't know about you, but I have scrap paper coming out of my ears. As many of you know, I am a paper HOARDER! I love designer paper. The problem being that I will use a small amount and have a ton left over. I have started trying to put them in a bag with the thought that I will go back and use it. Honestly, I do sometimes go back for the scrap bag, but more times than most I will reach for a full sheet. So, I did go through my scraps for this card. I also was able to use a image I had colored a week ago with Kerry. SO this card was a very fast card.
Can you believe I Used a Magnolia AGAIN? That was the last of my images, so no more Tilda's. I do have a fun time coloring them, but I still can't get past the fact that they have no mouth. Where's the mouth??????? If you would like to participate in Kerry's challenge head on over and link up with mr. Linky! I hope you all had a Terrific Tuesday and we are looking forward to a Fantastic Friday!

I just wanted to share with you that Twilight will be released on DVD Saturday at 12:01am. I am still trying to decided if I will be heading to Walmart at midnight, or wait until sat morning. I do know one thing, I am SOOOO excited and I can't wait to watch it again. Any other Twilight die hard out there?

Inky Impressions 1st Design Team Call

SUINKWWC32— The colors of Spring

Happy Wednesday all. I Love Wednesdays! They mean the week is half over and it is Whachadoing Wednesday over at SU INK & More. This weeks challenge is to make a card with spring colors. Well, it's still not spring here in NH (I still have snow in my yard),but it has started to warm up a little. I think it is supposed to get to 50 degrees today. I will take it. I can't wait to pack all the winter coats and boots away. I am longing for the days when I can open the windows and the kids can play outside.

On my card today, I used the SU INK set "some bunny special". I am not really good a creating a scene on my cards, but I thought it would be so cute for the boy and the girl to hold the basket with the little chicks running around. I paper pieced the little girls dress to match my background paper, and the rest is colored. The sketch I used is from MJ's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge. So, I got to use this card for both challenges. I couldn't follow the challenge exactly because I don't have a oval punch (can you believe it), but the rest of the card is pretty much to the sketch.

So, feel like you would like to play along in a few challenges? Head over to SU INK & More and see what the rest of the Design team came up with and play along with us. If you do play please use the keywords SUINKWWC32 when uploading on-line. I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday, and think spring. Happy creating!

Happy St. Paddy's Day

WOW can you believe it is already March 17Th? How time fly when you're having fun. Do you celebrate anything special for St. Paddy's day? I will be working, but I did want to share a quick story with you. My daughter Abbey is 7, and she came home from school today telling me that there was a leprechaun at her school, and that she didn't get to see him, so she was going to make a trap to catch him. Well, the trap is set and ready to go. She left a quarter and some goldfish cracker, and is ready ti snag him when he comes in her room. Of course, I will have to trip the trap, steal her quarter, and leave change going down the stairs like he was running. Both my kids were a afraid to go to bed because of the leprechaun, This whole thing makes no sense to me.
For todays card, you know it had to be St.Paddy'd day card. I used the Blarney Stone set by SU ink. Such a cute set for St. Paddys day cards. So, will tonights dinner be corn beef and cabbage? HAPPY ST.PADDY'S Day.

3 Clover Thursday Challenge *inspiration*

Hey it's Thursday and that means 3 Clover Thursday Challenge. Today's challenge is a inspiration challenge (see photo). When I looked at this cake, the colors and stripes are what popped out at me first. so, that is what I went with. I received some Sugar Nellie images from Anne in my sisterhood bloggers group, and I wanted to try these out, so I combined the two to make a Birthday card, and this was my result. I really wanted to use some orange, but I couldn't find any in my stash that I liked, so pink and green it was!!!!!!

I wonder what you would take from this photo. What kind of card would you make? Wanna play? Take the challenge, make a card and then head over to Kerry's blog and sign up with mr. linky. Can't wait to see what you make. If you have a chance, check out the cards from other ladies on the inspiration team. They are FABULOUS!

You Make Smile!

Happy Tuesday! It is 30 degree's here today and gorgeous! Due to the snow storm yesterday, the trees are covered and look beautiful. It sure doesn't look like spring. Is is spring where you are?

Today's card is one I did for a mystery image swap for one of my Yahoo groups. As you can probably guess, it is completely not a "me" image, but that is why we call it a challenge. I don't love how it turned out, but I didn't know what else to do with it. I am leaving it as is and it is going postal!

I am off to catch up on school work while my kids are at school. I hope you all are having a TERRIFIC Tuesday.

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge #60 & weekend happenings

Happy Monday! Today's card was made for MaryJo's Monday Lunchtime sketch challenge. I have to admit that the sketch was intimidating to look at, but once I started working on my card, it was not bad. Friday my friends Kerry and Pia came over and we did some stamping and talking. More talking than stamping, but I did get a chance to stamp some of Kerry's Magnolia stamps. If you know Kerry, you know she is a HUGE fan of Magnolia's. I on the other hand think they are just okay. I mean, I like the looks of them and I am often in Ahhh at the cards I see people make, but they just aren't "me". So, this challenge is more than one. I personally challenged myself to use the Magnolia stamp that I colored. I think my card came out okay, not great no terrible just OKAY! I did stamp a few, so I may try again. We'll see.....

How are you all making out with the time change? Well, everyone in my house went to bed at their regular time, but not me, I kept looking at the clock thinking it's "really" only 11:00pm, "I still have time". So much for that, I over slept and both kids were late for school. Not only that , but I woke up to MORE snow. This winter has been unbelievable. We have had more snow than you can imagine. It wouldn't seem so bad if yesterday wasn't 60 degrees and everyone was without coats for the first time in months. I am starting to feel like I live in a frozen tundra!

I also wanted to share one more thing with you today. My church has a competition level basketball and cheerleading squad, and this year is my daughter Abbey's first year on the cheering squad. Abbey cheers in the beginners level, which means they don't actually compete, they are just starting out. Well, they got invited to Saturdays Cheerleading competition to do their routine, and OMG were they so cute. The ages range from 5-9 and you can only image how sweet they were. When it was time to announce the teams scores, Abbey's squad got called up and they gave them all medals. Agian, so cute. So, as a proud mom, I had to share some photos.

I hope you all have a Marvelous Monday, and if you get a chance pop over to MJ's blog and play along!

Supplies:Paper Basic grey, Stamps: Magnolia, and sentiment CTMH. Ink: Memento black, and copics. Misc: Marvy punches, and white pen, and Kaiser pearls.

3 Clovers Thursday Challenge #3

Here is card I made for Kerry's Thursday challenge. The challenge was to make a card that is mostly green, and it has to have at least 3 different embellishment on your card.

For my card, I used the Blarney Stone set from SU INK, It's such a cute set. If you would like to take in part in Kerry's challenge, go ahead and hope on over to her blog and play along!

I hope you all have a terrific thursday!

SUINKWWC30-Bring on the bling!

Are you having a wonderful Wednesday? Here in New Hampshire it is cold, but the sun is bright and shiney. I am hoping that Mondasy Nor Easter was the last.

Wenesday always mean SUINK challenge, and this weeks challenge was to Bling up your card. I am usually pretty good with the bling, but this week I wanted to use the SU INK's newly released "Some Bunny Loves you",so I couldn't really use bright bling. Instead I used my Kaiser pearls for a more "Typical" easter look.
I think the Pearls count? If you get a chance head over to SU INK's blog and see what the other designers came up with, and come play along!

I also made this card using Jen's Sketch at i{heart} 2stamp. She is giving away some great prizes, and she has a great blog.

I have to keep this short. I have a mini A&P midterm tonight, and a Stats midterm tomorrow, and then I am FREE for 1 week (Spring break). I have big plans for myself. Lots of organizing and getting stuff done.

If you get a chance check back tomorrow to check out Kerry's challenge at Three Clovers Designs is. Have a WONDEFUL Wednesday!

My "clean" happy place, and some new toys.

Here is my "creative space". It is located in my basement. A couple months ago I took some pictures of my disaster space. Same space only a TERRIBLE mess. Anyone who knows me, knows I am a seriously messy crafter. I start off great, but in due time my stuff starts to spread across the room, and then,in my mess, I loss whatever it is I am working on. It's like the black hole.

Well, yesterday I decided I really needed to clean. I was having trouble finding my unmounted stamps and I couldn't find any of the NEW paper I purchased. So, after a hour or two of sorting, labeling, and organizing, I had a clean space. Now, the hard part: keeping it clean!

Now, for MORE "stuff". The other day I was at Michael's and I noticed these new EK SUCCESS edge punches. I bought one and tried it out. I have to say it punches really nice. Yep, you guessed it, I went back again today and bought two more. They have a bunch of different patterns as well as different shaped punches. I told myself I didn't need anything else, but then they went on sale, and I am a sucker for a sale. So, if you're live near a Micheal's, definitely check these out. So far I really like them.

Hope your having a terrific Tuesday, and if you get a chance, check back tomorrow for a SU INK & MORE challenge!
