Inky Impressions 2nd DT Call & Blogger's Challenge

Are you having a good start to your weekend? It poured most of the day here today, but the weather man says it's supposed to be a wonderful weekend. We'll see.

Today's card has 2 purposes. It is my submission for the 2nd round of Inky Impressions design team, and it also my card for this weeks blogger's challenge.

For my card today,I used Inky Impressions "Lilis Secrets" stamps, and combined it with the Blogger's Challenge Sketch. I did turn the sketch around, but that counts. I find the Inky Impressions images so great to color. They are wonderfully etched stamps and so easy to work with. I hope I get another chance to play on Nicole's Inky Impressions team.

On a different note, I have had a pretty roller coaster kind of week. Monday was a typical day. The kids and I kinda hung around. Tuesday, I went to the beach with a friend and her kids and had a great time until I got home and the phone rang. My cousin was on the other end told me that my uncle had just passed away. Well, I was just heart broken. I also had to tell my kids that our Cape cod vacation had to be put off while we attended my uncles services. They are still young and really don't understand. Wednesday we went and spent the day with my cousins (my uncle's 5 daughters). Thursday I got the chance to go Mass General Hospital and visit my BF's baby. He was born at 26 weeks and has been doing amazing. I was very excited to finally get to meet baby Evan. He is just soooo sweet. He was born weighing 2lb 7ounces, and now 8 weeks later he is up to 3lbs 14 ounces. He is amazing.
Friday night was the wake and Saturday morning is the funeral, and then the after get together. It really has been a dozy of a week and I look forward to Sunday when my family and I head down to the Cape to relax. I may even have a few umbrella drinks to relax!
This last project was a project I did a while back, but I wanted to use it for my second project for my Inky Impressions.

Tooty Fruity Thursday at Three Clovers

Happy Thursday!!!!! Are you feeling a little fruity today? Over at Three Clovers Designs, there are a bunch of Fruits (hehehehehehe). This weeks Challenge was to make a card that had fruit on it. I gotta tell you, I had to search for a stamp to use. I don't have to many stamps with fruit. So, I went digging in my SU stamps (all in a large cardboard box)and came across the gnome stamps (which I love),found this great paper in my stash and went to town. This is a different kind of card for me, but I think I like the results. What do you think?
Well, that is all for me today. I am off to meet baby Evan (my friends baby) today. He was born at 26 weeks, and has been a champ from day 1. He is approx 5 weeks now, and I haven't been able to get to Boston to see him for some reason or another, but today is the day. I can't wait. I hope to share some photos with you tomorrow.
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Thursday and if you get a chance check out what the 3 Clovers inspiration team came up with for the challenge and come play with us. We love to play! Have a great day and Happy creating!

Back To School

Happy Tuesday!!!! Phew, it has been a rough 5 days I tell you. I work at Gymboree (kids clothes store), and they run this sale called Gymbucks. Well, the last week has been Gymbucks redemption, and let me tell you what Gymbucks redemption is like: PURE CRAZINESS!!!!!!With back to school approaching, my store was a mess, and there were people everywhere. I worked 5 days straight (not my usual), and now I am exhausted. So, with the whole school shopping thing approaching,I thought I would make a card for the occasion.

I used SU INK'S "A Touch of Class" stamp set, which comes with a bunch of great stamps for a school occasion. I used the At in the corner and attached the back pack, and off to school she goes. I also used MJ's Monday Lunchtime sketch. I know some of your kids go back to school soon, but we don't go back until after Sept 1st. Still some summer time left!

Well, that is all for today.. I am off to the beach for the day, and looking forward to a week of no work and lots of playing. The weather here is Hot and Humid, and it is giving me every reason to head to the beach. Beach today, Maine tomorrow, and Cape Cod on Thurs and Friday. Arrr.....I feel relaxed already thinking about it. Well, I am off to soak up some rays. Have a great day! Happy Creating!

Hey Chickie

Good Morning, Good morning it's a happy day today!!!!!! The sun is shining, and I only have to work a 4 hour shift before I am off to a night with the Family. How is your Saturday? Any big plans?

I got some new Inky Impressions stamps and couldn't wait to ink them up. For this card I use Lili with chicks. I managed to get a card in for this weeks Inky Impressions challenge (masking, create a scene). I masked Lili and her chicks and put a hay stack behind her to create a little farm scene. I then masked lili and the hay stack to create my clouds. So, I think this counts.

I took the guessing out of my coloring, by using the packaging of the stamps. The Inky Impressions stamps comes with full color packaging. Great for those days that you don't feel so creative.

Well, that is all for me today. I hope to have a card for Monday. I am off to work. Have a SUPAH SATURDAY!!!!!!! Happy Creating!!!!!!

Supplies
Stamps: Inky impressions, High Hopes (hay stack), computer generated sentiment
Paper: DP ?(it wass in my stash for a LONG time)
Ink: memento black, copics
Misc: ctmh brads, laasting Impressions cloud maker, punches

Three Clover Thursday challenge

Good Morning!!!!! I hope you are having a wonderful day. The sun is out (and my kids slept till 8am), so I am off to a GREAT morning!

Today is Three Clover Thursday challenge. Today's challenge: BLING (glitter, rhinestones, shimmerz...etc...anything that SPARKLES!)

Bling, Stickles is my middle name, I LOVE bling! What a great challenge! I tried turning my card in a way that I could catch the light to show the sparkle on my card. Can you see it?

I used one of my High Hope stamps that I haven't inked up yet, and added some stars and stickles, and what did I come up with? HANNAH MONTANA!

When I was done making my card, my daughter asked to look at it, and when I showed her she said "Hannah Montana, and I have Hannah Montana sweat shirt that looks just like your card", and then I showed my hubby and he said "Hannah Montana". So, I guess I made a Hannah Montana kinda card (hehehehe).

This was a very fun card to make, and I love the image. It was a great image to practice my shading. My one problem......the black shoes. They look terrible. I have some real troubles using the really dark grey and black. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to help me out.

Well, that is all today. If you get a chance click here, and check out what the rest of the 3ct challenge team came up with (they are all soooo creative)! Have a Terrific Thursday and happy creating!

It's a Inky Impression's Saturday!!!

Happy Saturday!!!!! The weather here is New Hampshire is Hot and humid. I am not a humid kinda girl, but I am certainly not going to complain after the month of rain we had. How's the weather where you are????? I hope comfortable!!!

Today is Inky Impressions Saturday here at Scrap Creations. I have a card and some BIG NEWS for you!!!!

Inky Impressions holds a weekly challenge on Wednesdays and this weeks challenge was a "stitch in time", real or faux. I used my Angelica Bunny Hugs, and did some faux stitching. You see, I took a few sewing classes and I wasn't very good at it, so my sewing machine sits in my craft rook begging for some use, but I just can't deal with it. I think real stitching looks so much better, but no sense in doing something that isn't fun right (hehehe). So, I took out one of my stitch stamps and used that (thank god they make those).

Not only did I use this card for Inky Impression's stitching challenge, but this card also is good for SCS sketch challenge this week, and Blogger's Challenge (which is also a Stitch challenge) Wahooo I love when things work out like that.

Okay, not only did I stitch the front of my card, but I decorated the inside and did some stitching(stamping) on the inside. I only had a small amount of paper left and I wanted to use it up.

Are you ready for some BIG NEWS???? Inky Impressions is holding it's second DT call. Do you love these stamps???, well, you should try out. I would encourage all of you to try out for Inky Impressions design team. The images are sooooo cuteeeee!!!! If you interested, you can click here to read all the info.

So, with all that said, I hope you can come play with us for this weeks stitch challenge over at Inky Impressions, and I would encourage all of you to try out for Inky Impression's DT. Have a wonderful Saturday, and Happy Creating!!!!

Three Clover Thursday challenge: x-mas in July

Happy Thursday!!!!! The weekend is only a short time away. We are supposed to be rained out on Sat, but a great weather day on Sunday. We are hoping to do some boating with my parents, so I am keeping my fingers crossed for great weather.

Today's challenge is Christmas in July. Well, I love to make Christmas cards, but I have to admit that I really struggled making this card. I had gone to the beach for the day, came home with a pretty good sun burn, and I just wasn't feeling the whole Christmas theme. I actually sat in my craft room at 8:30, but didn't make a card until 11:30. I could;t decided what paper I wanted to use, I couldn't find the stamp I wanted to use (due to the complete mess on my desk), so finally I decided to go simple. Not my best card, but it is Christmas in July! Right?

So, speaking of messes, I thought I would be brave and share a quick pic of my absolutely mess of a desk. Get ready to be scared:

Good grief, I have to spend some time and get that space cleaned up.

So, are you feeling a little like Christmas? The challenge team over at 3 Clovers would love for you to join us, and we can't wait to see what you come up with. So, if you get a chance, come play along. Happy Thursday and Happy creating!

Whachadoin Wednesday Challenge with SU Ink & More

GOOD MORNING!!!! Happy Wednesday All!!!! We are 1/2 way through the week, and one step closer to the weekend. The sun is shining and the weather here has been FABULOUS for the last couple of days. There is something to say about good weather bringing a smile to your face!

You know what Wednesday's bring: Whachadoin Wednesday over at SU Ink & More. This weeks challenge is a inspiration challenge. The inspiration challenge was taken from this picture below.

I decided to take the animal theme from the photo and use SU INK & More's Welcome to the Zoo stamp set. Like I have said in my previous post, I am on a non traditional color kick. Instead of going with "realistic" animal colors, I used the colors from this fun Pattern paper.

When I was uploading my card this morning, I was trying to decide what I would "actually" use this card for, and who would I send it to. Well, I decided this card would make a great kids B-day card or Birthday invitation. It would also make a great baby card for someone who has multiple children. What do you think?

Well, that is all today. My family and I are heading to the beach on this wonderful day. I hope you all get a chance to play along with us on this challenge. What inspiration would you draw from this photo. Come play with us!

It's a Robot Kind of Monday & Blog Candy!

Good Morning, and Happy Monday! We had a FAULOUS weekend and the weather was wonderful (finally). We celebrated Ryan's b-day with the family, and I made some cards with some friends on Friday night. Well, I chatted and bought stuff, and really didn't get to creative, but I really enjoyed the time with my friends.

Last night I was playing around with the robot Inkies stamp form SU INK & More, and I am really pleased with how my card turned out. I think th epaper was perfect for this card. I paper pieced half of the robot, and colored the rest. I am having a great time with these new inkies.

BLOG CANDY anyone????? Denise (the owner of SU INK & MORE) has been kind enough to give me these 2 new INKIES stamps to offer up for blog candy. So, here is what you have to do: Leave me a comment, and spread the word on your blog (if you wish). I will draw the winner on Sunday.
Well, that is all for me today. I am off to take the kids to swim lessons. Have a FABULOUS monday. Happy creating!

Inky Impressions Challenge 5

Are you feeling creative today??? Inky Impressions challenge this week is a SCS225sketch challenge. This sketch was a little out of my comfort zone, but that is why they call it a challenge right!

I used Inky Impressions Happy Spring Lili, and covered her happy spring sign and made my own. This is a great stamp and it can be used for almost any occasion, all you have to do is change up the banners. Wahoo, love that.

Well, that is all for me today. We would love if you could join us and play along. If you get a chance to check out the rest of the DT members, you won;t be disappointed. They are all so talented. You can see them here.

If you would like to play along here is the sketch:

HAVE A GREAT WEDNESDAY AND HAPPY CREATING!

Whachadoin Wednesday with SU InK & More

HAPPY WEDNESDAY!!!!! You know what Wednesdays mean: WHACHADOIN WEDNESADAY with SU INK & MORE! This weeks challenge was to make a card that had stripes. Well, you see, no hard for me seeing I have a TON of striped paper. For some reason, stripes and polka dots is what I tend to go for. So, digging through my stash I found this amazing paper I had purchased almost a year ago. Pulled it out and put it to use.

I used SU INKS new Friendly Forest INKIES, which I am having a great time using. These stamps are making for some super cute cards.

I really have been going for some bright colors lately. I'm not sure if I am longing for Summer (seeing it has been rainy and cold here for over a month), or what, but my color choices have been brighter than my norm. I guess I could have chose more subtle colors for the tree, but I wanted to match this paper and I am kinda happy with the outcome. I love when I am pleased with a card. We can be our own worst critic.

Well, that is all for me today, but you can check out more cards from SU inks very talented team here. Have a great Wednesday and Happy creating!

A Friend Like No Other!

Happy Tuesday. The weather here has been gorgeous for the last 3 days, but we are now back to Rain. I knew it was to good to be true (hehehehe). I will use this day to get things done in doors today, and maybe even treat myself to a Mani/Pedi. What will you be doing today?

I haven't stamped in a few days, so I sat in my room last night and decided to play. No deadlines, just play. So I grabbed my Inky Impressions stamps and decided to use Just the head off the stamp, and make three. This way I could color to the same and one different. Get it "you're a friend like no other". This was such a simple card, but I really like it, and I used the new Lemonade paper by Basic Grey (great paper).

So, that is all for me today. The kids having swimming lessons, My hubby is going to the orthopedic, in hopes of getting the hard cast off and going into a walking cast)and Abbey has Gymnastics, and at some point I have to go to the food store (I really don't like food shopping). I then am planning on having a evening of stamping in front of my TV.

Well, I hope you all have a Terrific Tuesday, and I will be back on Wednesday! Happy creating.

Blogger's Challenge & Motivet sketch challenge

Happy Friday and day before 4th of July. Any big plans this weekend? Well, the weather here in New England has been TERRIBLE! I kid you not that it has been raining for the last four weeks. We have seen the sun make 3 days out of the last 30. It is very depressing and my kids are out of the mind with being bored. So, if you have sun where you are PLEASE send some here. Even a glimpse!

Yahooo...two weeks in a row I have been able to participate in Blogger's challenge. This weeks challenge was "Wave the Flag-Red, White and Blue". Well, I did not do a "typical" patriotic card. I wanted to combine this challenge, with The Motivet sketch challenge, and in order to do so, I had to use a Motivet stamp. I chose baseball Dexter and colored him Red, White & Blue, and added some stars. What is better than America's sport "Baseball".

Well, I hope it counts. I had a great time making this card, and coloring this adorable image. Oh, these squirrels are to "die for cute" in my book. If you haven't seen them before, you can check them out here. They just released a bunch of new stamps, and they have some great contests on their blog. Definitely worth a peek!

Well, I am off to take the kids to swim lessons and then who knows what. Work tomorrow and Sunday. Hopefully Weather permitting, Fireworks tomorrow night. Happy 4th of July and have a Fantastic weekend. Happy Creating!
