My version of steampunk

Happy Hump Day......Today I went "out of my comfort zone" with this weeks Stampotique challenge.  This week Kathi has challenged us to do Steam Punk, and this is what she had to say:

"Steampunk is an inspired movement of creativity and imagination. With a backdrop of either Victorian England or America’s Wild West at hand, modern technologies are re-imagined and realized as elaborate works of art, fashion, and mechanics. If Jules Verne or H.G. Wells were writing their science fiction today, it would be considered “steampunk.”"

My challenge to you is to create a Steampunk project using your stamps and your imagination!

If you follow my blog, you know I am more of a "cutesy" person. I like to create cute things, with an occasional dark project. So when I had to do steam punk, I had no idea what I was going to do.  Good thing I have Mary and Peggy, who suggested that I go to Bearly Mine and use their steam punk digital paper, and that is exactly what I did.  That is about all the steam punk I have in me...LOL..Well, I am off to work. I hope you have a great day! Don't forget to stop by Stampotique Designers challenge and join us this week.

Going Grey With Scrap-Creations Challenge: Celebrations

Happy Tuesday...I hope you enjoyed your weekend....I am happy to say that mine was lovely. I spent most of the weekend gardening and doing yard work and I LOVE gardening. Not so much yard work, but I love how it looks when it is all done.  When I wasn't gardening and doing yard work, I was coloring and crafting.  So, it really was a GREAT weekend!!!!! I will share pics of my garden as I finish up :)
We have a super fun challenge for you this week....since it is graduation, wedding, and baby season, we have decided to challenge you with you celebration projects.
Since I have had to friends graduate this month, I decided to go with a graduation card. I actually used a coloring page and change the size and used it as a digi image to make my card.  I am not a precious moments fan, but I love this image.  The DP is not perfect, but I'm determined to use the paper that I have on hand!  My image was colored with copics, and I have to say, i love how it turned out. I don't often say that about my own work.  We are our own worse critic.  So, what are you celebrating in the near future????
Last weeks "girly/Mother day challenge was a fun one, and your projects were adorable!!! it was to hard to pick just 3, so I had to pick the TOP 4!

Happy Birthday!

Happy Wednesday.... I hope you all are having a great week thus far.  Just think, we are half way to the weekend :) Today I have created a card for this weeks Stampotique Originals challenge.  This week Corrie is hosting and here is what she had to say:

"Hello everybody and happy Wednesday to you. I am hosting today's Challenge and I would like you to use pink and orange in your background. Now my mother used to tell me that orange and pink don't go together but because I am a rebel, I think they do !!! So I would like you to use pink and orange in the background of your project. I am looking forward to see what you come up with. Happy crafting.

Well, I have to agree with Corrie, I LOVE pink and orange together, and I had this super fun DP that was shouting at me to use it.  I feel like it was perfect for this weeks challenge. I used one of Daniel's new stamps: Cup of Fun Certainty. Most of the time, cupcakes scare me, as I have such a hard time coloring them, but I LOVE this cupcake......
So, whatcha waiting for hop on over to Stampotique blog and see what the amazing DT did with this weeks challenge.

Going Grey With Scrap-Creations: Mother's Day/Girl challenge

Happy Tuesday, I am sorry I am a bit late with my post, but we just returned from vacation and I am still trying to get myself back to "normal".  We went on a 7 day cruise to the Caribbean and it was so nice to be able to be somewhere warm, where the sun shines all day and the ocean is a balmy 75 degrees.  Here in NH, we are lucky if we hit 60 degrees these days, and forget the ocean temps, they NEVER get to be 75 degrees. Our normal is an ankle biting 6oish degrees on a good day.  Anyway, we had a fabulous time!
WOW.....what a turn out we had for last weeks "anything goes" challenge.  That seems to be everyone's favorite.  Since Mother's day is Sunday, this week we are challenging you to create a Mother's Day or Girly challenge.  I used this super sweet fairy stamp, which I have had forever, and I never inked up until now.  I completely love this stamp, and for the life of me, I can't remember who makes it.  I created it for Mothers Day, but think it would be super cute for a Birthday card.
OMG, all your projects last week were AMAZING!!!! After torturing myself, I Finally picked the TOP 3, and they are:
                                                                         Lori
                                                                               Gail
Kirsten
