I Can Fly!!!

Happy Thursday...I am a day late with this weeks Stampotique Originals. There are those days when I work 9 plus hours and just don't have it in me to blog...My sometimes after talking with patients all day, my head feels like mush and yesterday was one of those days.
So, I am sharing my project with you today, and this weeks hostess is Janet Klein and here is what she had to say about this weeks challenge. " I am challenging you to use some form of tin in your artwork.  Consider incorporating craft tin, tin tape, an Altoid container, a re-purposed tin can or any tin object to incorporate with your stamping."  This was definitely a challenge for me, and as you can see, I went with aluminum foil and created Helium balloons on my mini journal page.  Not very original, but it worked.  I hope you will join us for this weeks challenge over at Stampotique.

Going Grey With Scrap-Creations Chllenge: Celebrations

Happy Tuesday!!! I hope you had a fantastic weekend and Holiday.  My family and I went to the beach for the first time this year, and while it was chilly (60 and windy), it was still sunny and lovely.  The beach is my favorite place on earth and I find some much peace there.
For this weeks challenge, Peggy wants to see wants to see your celebration projects.  I know, mine isn't a typical celebration theme, but with my busy life, I wanted to make a card for a friend who I don;t get to see as much as I would like to, so I am celebrating my friendship with her.  I really wanted to make a card for my daughter, who is turning 14 tomorrow (gulp), but I spent hours searching for a good gymnast Digi and stamp and came up with NOTHING....There has to be a cute Gymnastics stamp, there just has to be...if you find one, let me know :) So, with no card, I will share a pic of my girl, who I love to pieces.

We had a TON of entries for last weeks anything goes challenge, which I was thrilled to see.  After my deliberation, the TOP 3 are:

something old, something new, something borrowed something blue!

Happy Wednesday!!!  I hope you are having a great week.  Today I have a new journal page to share with you.  This weeks challenge at Stampotique Originals is being hosted by Coby, and her challenge theme is : something old, something new, something borrowed something blue!  This was a super fun challenge.  For something old, I used scalloped lace border, which an older stamp. For something new, I used the body of Boots, which was in the last new Release. For something Borrowed, I used the head of Agatha Star, and for something blue, I used blue in my background, as well as Boot's dress. This project didn't come out as I imagine, but I believe I pulled off the challenge, and I would love it, if you joined us this week over at Stampotique Originals Designers challenge.

It's a Polka a Dot Party!

Happy Monday....I hope you had a fabulous weekend!  The weather here in NH has turned the corner and it has reached a gorgeous 80 degrees, and I have been enjoying every moment of it.  As is if I'm not happy enough about the weather, but I have also completed another semester towards my BSN....two week break before my two summer classes....Life is good right now (knock on wood).
This week at Stampotique Designers challenge, Sam Read is hosting this weeks Challenge, and here is what Sam had to say:

"I included polka dots in a previous challenge and everyone who took part seemed to have such fun, I thought we could revisit them.  Have fun!"

This was such a fun challenge for me....I love adding dots on a ordinary challenge, never mind one that wants me to do so on purpose. Well, I may have gone a little crazy....I created this mini journal page using Dylusions for my background and using the following stamps:
